Design Diary: Vintage Party Dress
/
This may have been the busiest week I have experienced in my 3 years as a resident of The District. The inauguration brought so many people here from all over the world to hear President Obama address the nation. So many balls were held in the city, ladies wore lavish expensive gowns with their dates decked in dapper tuxes.
Although their dresses were beautiful, I’ve never been one to love long dresses. Cocktail dresses are perfectly versatile, and most importantly ladies, you can show off some leg! The garment I chose this week was a 1960s metallic turquoise party dress from local etsy shop Inhabituel.
This silk dress, with embellished with matching buttons is a great dress to wear on a night out with friends, to a nice dinner, maybe even a wedding! This dress can be used for different occasions, but I dressed my model for a PARTAYYYY!!! With my favorite frilly socks, wedge boots, and matching silver jewelry you will definitely make a statement. Instead of buying a clutch, make yourself one to use on your night out!
